I couldn’t believe the price for a new pair of work boots. They want two hundred dollars for a new pair of boots. Piss on that shit. I will not shop in that store anymore. Time to buy at Wally World or somewhere else. Maybe I will look online, but buying boots online is kind of scary. You have to try work boots on to see if they fit the way you want them to. I always put both boots on and walk around a bit to make sure that they are going to be exactly what I want.

Then again, if I buy the exact same boots I have online for cheaper, they should fit the same as the ones I have. I really would like to upgrade to a pair of Red Wing boots but they are really expensive and even more so in the stores. Perhaps I could go try them on in the store and then order what I want online for cheaper. That might work out well for me. Either way I am still going to have to buy new boots for work. I hate shopping for work boots. Oh well, what must be done, must be done.

Drinking Bacon

I know that there are some strange foods and odd drinks on the market. Especially in other countries. I wonder if there really is a Diet Coke with bacon flavor? So many people know how to use Photoshop that this could be a fake photo. I found the photo on Facebook, so it could be just a fake digital image that someone made for a laugh. But I like bacon and I have to admit that a flavored Diet Coke is intriguing.

No Cucumbers

One thing I really don’t like to eat is cucumbers. I don’t like them, no matter what you do to them or how you fix them. I don’t like them raw. I don’t like them marinated in vinegar. I don’t like them pickled, either. When I order a burger at the fast food places I have to ask them to hold the pickles or I have to pick them off with my fingers before I can eat the burger. Cucumbers are a pretty much useless vegetable as far as I’m concerned.

Lost the Remote

Went into the living room today and wanted to watch a show on the big flat screen. Wouldn’t you know that some jackass took the remote out of the living room? I can’t find it, so I can’t even turn on the damn TV, because the manual on/off switch is broken. So the TV is dark, I’m pissed, and there’s no remote to be found. FML.

Not a White Christmas Here

Last year we did have a white Christmas. It snowed for several days before Christmas and it snowed on Christmas Day, too. Not this year! The temperatures have not been below 35 degrees this winter.

We started the day out slow and easy, then we had to go to my mom’s house for dinner. She is a great cook and takes this Christmas dinner thing very seriously. So we all have to get dressed up nice, can’t be late, and have to make an extra effort to not get into an argument with anyone in the family so we don’t upset my mom and ruin her Christmas.

Busy Week for Big Brown

Wow – it seems like every day this week I have had a package delivered to my doorstep by UPS. I bet the driver is about sick of driving down my street by now. I have seen the truck in my neighborhood as late as 8:30 pm, delivering the packages in the dark. I know this is their busiest time and after Christmas a lot of them will be out of work. But it is pretty cool to know that you can get a package from your house to mine in about 1 day, if you are willing to pay the price, no matter where in the U. S. that you live.

Kids Movies

Do you ever think about how much movies made for kids have changed over the years? For the most part, computers and computer generated graphics have made it a lot faster and easier to create animated movies and special effects. The story lines have changed a lot and so have the soundtracks.

One thing I really don’t understand is why do they hire the big name celebrities to do the voices on animated movies? If you never see the celebrity and they don’t have to move or do stunts, who cares who is actually reading the lines? Why do they pay the high dollar actors and not give the entry level talent a chance to make some money and do the “acting”?

Steak and Lobster

Holiday dinners always seem to be based on turkey or ham. What is up with that? Why don’t we celebrate Christmas dinner with some great T-bone steaks and lobsters? That’s what I’m talking about! Enough with the turkey, people! I want steaks – big, think grilled steaks are my idea of celebrating!

Start Shopping, Slackers

Everybody that I know has started their Christmas shopping. Some of them claim they have finished it all. Damn – I must be a slacker. Even though I did go out and deal with all that Black Friday mess, I scored some deals on things – like a sweet 42″ LED HD flatscreen for my bedroom – but they were for ME – not for Christmas gifts. LOL

Housework Sucks
